The Stability Council Working Group

The working group is comprised of representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Länder finance ministries and the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The Stability Council Working Group prepares the meetings of the Stability Council and drafts proposals for decisions on the individual agenda items.

In addition to the regular meetings of the Stability Council in June and December, the working group also meets in July in order to discuss the overall economic and fiscal conditions at the time of drafting the budgets and financial plans for the different levels of government. Representatives of the local authorities’ national associations and the German Bundesbank take part in this meeting as guests.
